On September 15, 2021 in Kalinkovichi district there was a long-awaited and significant event — the opening of the "Open Air Museum — the site of primitive man in the village of Yurovichi".

According to archeological data, man settled in the place of modern Yurovichi about 26 thousand years B.C. This is evidenced by the oldest in the territory of Belarus parking lot of primitive man, discovered by scientists in 1929 on the high bank of the Pripyat River. The open-air exposition is a carefully reconstructed by scientists and builders parking lot of Cro-Magnon people.

Inside the museum is divided into two parts: information and exposition zones.

In the information zone we can get acquainted with the history of the excavation process itself, here the visitor learns about the natural and climatic conditions of the Upper Paleolithic epoch in the lands of Belarus and the territories occupied by the glacier of the last (Valdai) glaciation.

In the exposition zone visitors will learn about the history of the Yurovichi site. It was located on the slope of a ravine cutting through the left bank of the river.

There is a collection of flint objects: nucleus, detachments, scrapers, points, incisors, knives, chisels, plates with retouch, dagger. Mammoth tusk items are represented by a digger, a tjurunga plate with geometric ornamentation in the form of zigzags and hexagons, plates with polishing and surface shading.
